Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. She joined ESPN in 2016. was a part of ESPN. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages helped her to get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work as a producer for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was later hired as a reporter by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter at the newscast from 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter of the newscast at nine p.m. in English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. In addition, she was an anchor for weather anchors, sports anchors and forecasters. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was host of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She worked as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. She served in the same capacity on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. Also, she has a younger sibling. She is the older sister. In 1992, the couple divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo, naval engineer, who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. The summer of 2006, she took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she was very aware of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. The result was that she liked the campus and that the school offered the major she wanted. She finished school and went to the university with a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a member. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
